Seatrium Offshore Renewable Services – Strategic Hub, Lowestoft
NCL Contractors are currently delivering a new Strategic Hub for Seatrium Offshore Renewable Services in Lowestoft, creating purpose-built headquarters that will support the company's continued growth within the offshore renewable energy sector.
The development comprises approximately 1,700m² of warehouse space alongside 940m² of high-quality office and welfare accommodation arranged over two floors.
The steel-framed building has been designed to provide a modern and flexible working environment, incorporating a double-height entrance atrium, meeting and collaboration spaces, staff welfare facilities and secure warehouse and logistics areas.

Harbour‑Side Construction for a Net‑Zero Future
The project commenced with the demolition of an existing building and redevelopment of the brownfield coastal site. External works include new yard and operational areas, EV charging infrastructure and sustainable drainage, while photovoltaic panels contribute to the building's energy strategy. The completed facility has been designed to achieve an EPC A rating and net zero operational energy, supporting Seatrium's wider commitment to the offshore renewable energy sector.
Construction within the harbour-side location presents a number of technical and logistical considerations. These include the reuse of part of the existing concrete slab, management of deliveries and construction activities within a constrained site, and careful coordination around Seatrium's ongoing operations.
A Strategic Hub Supporting Offshore Renewables
Maintaining business continuity throughout the works is an important part of NCL's approach. Our project team works closely with Seatrium and the wider consultant team to coordinate the programme, site logistics and construction activities, enabling the client's operations to continue safely alongside the development.
Flexibility has also been considered within the design, allowing the facility to accommodate future expansion as the business continues to grow. Once complete, the Strategic Hub will provide Seatrium with a modern, energy-efficient headquarters and the operational space required to support offshore renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe.
